First ETV4INNOVATION project newsletter



ETV4INNOVATION is 28 months long EC funded VET Strategic Partnership under Erasmus+ programme. It has been designed with the aim to support the development and the implementation of an innovative practice and a new training path in the field of Environmental Technology Verification (ETV). ETV4INNOVATION is part of a global endeavour aiming to provide companies developing eco-technologies with an efficient and successful access to Environmental Technology Verification as the only internationally accepted guarantee of performance for any eco-technology.
 
The ETV4INNOVATION project aims to design and develop Joint Curricula for filling gaps in relation with ETV for current and future managers and workers in technological sectors. More specifically, ETV4INNOVATION will develop open-access e-Learning modules aiming to help eco-technology developers gain an in-depth understanding of the ETV scheme, thus providing them with knowledge and resources to facilitate the procedure of obtaining ETV verification statements for the eco-technologies they market.

The ETV4INNOVATION partnership has defined the following specific objectives:

  • Identify the lack of knowledge in the organisations, dealing with
    new technology design, to be able to manage ETV
  • Design and develop a Joint Curriculum on ETV
  • Deliver the Joint Curriculum on E-learning platform
  • Break borderlines among SMEs and large companies and experts in ETV, creating common procedures and skills
  • Equipping enterprises with the right skills and knowledge for the ETV verification thus fostering a sustainable technology process
  • Promoting better anticipation of ETV skills
  • Creating awareness of current environmental problems, the need to carry out a sustainable development, and bring more respectful practices with the environment.

Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) is a new tool to help innovative environmental technologies reach the market. Claims about the performance of innovative environmental technologies can be verified by qualified third parties called "Verification Bodies". The "Statement of Verification" delivered at the end of the ETV process can be used as evidence that the claims made about the innovation are both credible and scientifically sound. With proof of performance credibly assured, innovations can expect an easier market access and/or a larger market share and the technological risk is reduced for technology purchasers.

Second ETV4INNOVATION project newsletter

PROJECT ACTIVITIES AND PROGRESS
The Eramus+  ETV4INNOVATION project celebrated its second project meeting in Poznan, Poland
The ETV4INNOVATION team prepared a complete analysis of the current skills and needs of technological sectors in order to replace the knowledge gap with high level of competences, enabling enhancement of the competitiveness of the eco-technology sectors and the green innovative requirements. This desk-based research was carried out to identify,
  • 1) the future and current needs related to eco-technology and ETV, and
  • 2) the main needs and requirements of European technology industry and other stakeholders to face these challenges.
The ETV4INNOVATON team carried out the search predominantly in Europe, particularly covering the countries that have already implemented ETV. The survey was conducted with 90 participants from SMEs and related stakeholders; including regional administrations, universities, development agencies, research and innovation entities, VETs students, etc. 
 
Some of the main conclusions of the endorsement survey are:
  • Most of the respondents were representing small companies with less than 10 employees, planning to commercialize one or two products of eco-technology areas in the field of energy technologies and water treatment technologies.
  • The obstacles mostly being faced by innovative eco-technologies when placing the new products into the market are - low environmental awareness, logistics and cost.
  • Covering the international market, biggest obstacles named were: legislative issues, lack of references as well as purchasing channels. 
  • Most of the clients of the respondents do require guarantees of the environmental performance of the eco-technologies they are selling. Tests and Certifications like LCA, ISO standards were the most required guarantees from eco-technology producers. 
  • The results of the survey demonstrated that almost 72% of all the respondents haven’t heard about ETV before. 
  • ETV is known for a very narrow group of people and respondents were also asked if their customers are sufficiently knowledgeable about ETV. The results showed that 92 % have no idea or much information about ETV
  • Overall, it is obvious that there is a huge need of ETV course for eco-technology companies given the amount of interests generated. To make the course more beneficial and valuable for the users, the curricula will be developed knowing the feedback from respondents.
  • The main reasons why some of the respondents were using ETV were: testing of performance; documentation of results; access to international markets, ETV works as a mean to prove the technology’s performance.
  • Those who have successfully passed an verification process were asked to share if the ETV verification process made them aware of some skills. The skill areas indicated were: knowhow, experimental planning, data analysis; preparation of pilot and certifications.

Intellectual Output 2:
The ETV4INNOVATION consortium is currently developing the second output of the project: the ETV4INNOVATION JOINT CURRICULUM. The partners are defining and analysing the most suitable curriculum according to the conclusions obtained in IO1. The learning outcomes to be defined and descript will be grouped into units and modules and hence will form the ETV4INNOVATION training course. The online-course will provide information about Environmental Technology Verification with the aim to bring it closer to the SMEs and other related stakeholders. Additional information will be provided about the main green and other requirements that a company needs to meet during a verification procedure, as well as the steps on how to pass the ETV requirements.
DISSEMINATION AND PROMOTION ACTIVITIES
The ETV4INNOVATION Consortium took part in various dissemination events during its first year, namely:
  • The International Trade Fair for Environmental Protection POL-ECO SYSTEM (23th - 25th of October, 2018)
Our partner ITP presented ETV4INNOVATION during the POL-ECO SYSTEM, the largest and most important event in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. This event is used for multiple manufacturers in order to present their advanced technologies, solutions and products for sustainable development.
  • 10th Annual International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies (2nd-4th of July, 2018)
CETEM disseminated ETV4INNOVATION project during the Edulearn 2018, one of the largest international education conferences for lecturers, researchers, technologies and professionals. The event also helped CETEM to learn experience on innovative tools, which could be used for the development of the project, like training material and collaborative platform.
  • IEF – 87th Izmir International Fair 2018
Green Synergy Cluster participated during the 87th Izmir International Fair (“INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY”), where the project and the relevancy of Environmental Technology Verification in new innovative technologies were promoted.

ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY VERIFICATION NEWS
Purfil Aps - an ETV4INNOVATION project partner is starting an ETV procedure for an Ultra Filtration Module.
An Air Purifier has just been verified by the EU ETV programme
The European Environmental Technology Verification Programme (EU ETV Programme) has increased the number of products verified by ETV since its creation. Concretely, the last verified product has been manufactured by NatéoSanté. This French company specializing in indoor air quality has been developing, for several years, different ranges of air purifier. It offers professionals and individuals a solution for air purification against pollution in indoor spaces related to the presence in the air of different types of pollutants.

In this context, RESCOLL carried out the ETV verification on:

Operating parameters, such as:
  1. The air flow
  2. A-weighted sound power level
  3. The electrical power absorbed
Performance settings such as:
  1. Evaluation of the safety of the device: Control of the absence of particle emission
  2. Performance evaluation with respect to inert particles
  3. Device safety assessment: Control of the absence of emission by-products
  4. Evaluation of performance vis-à-vis Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
  5. Evaluation of performances with regard to microorganisms and allergens
  6. Evaluation of performance vis-à-vis Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), recirculation test
The product has been verified by RESCOLL, one of the two Verification Bodies located in France.
The French Environmental Agency published a report on SMEs support methodology towards ETV
ADEME, the French Environmental Agency, has been commissioned by the Ministries of Environmental and Industry for the establishment and deployment of environmental technologies performance verification device by a third party expert (Environmental Technology Verification, ETV) based on the European Pilot Program launched by the European Union in 2011.

The feedback, both European and French, is that many SMEs are showing interest in favour of a concrete project implementation of ETV approach.

In 2017, ADEME carried out a study of SMEs and their interest in ETV. Some of the conclusions obtained by the French Agency were the need of an improvement in the communication on ETV with companies via the awareness of national support structures, the creation of a training module for future “escorts”, etc. For more information about this report, you can find the whole document in the following link:

ETV4INNOVATION ACTIVITIES AND CURRENT PROGRESS
The ETV4INNOVATION project is currently designing and developing the ETV4INNOVATION Joint Curricula - open-access e-Learning modules aiming to help eco-technology developers gain an in-depth understanding of the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) scheme, providing them with knowledge and resources to facilitate the procedure of obtaining ETV Statement of Verification for the eco-technologies they market.

Hence, during the last several months the ETV4INNOVATION consortium worked on to compile the ETV4INNOVATION Joint Curriculum. The intellectual output 2 (IO2) has analysed and defined the most suitable curriculum according to the target groups needs defined during the implementation of IO1. The Joint Curriculum has been designed in terms of the necessary areas of knowledge, with the aim to fit the variety of job profiles and the target industries of the ETV4INNOVATION project. It was done by identifying the learning outcomes that the proposed training content requires, as well as the training units addressing the specific needs of certain job profiles.

The number of modules is defined on the basis of the main conclusions derived from the report regarding the lack of skills and knowledge of SMEs and other ETV stakeholders. Based on the conclusions from IO1, different learning outcomes and training materials were formulated. The supporting units are constructed and organised in a coherent way.

Three main modules were defined and the related learning outcomes are described below:

Module 1: Basic aspects of verification of environmental technology
  • understand what ETV is and the purpose of this verification;
  • know the different entities involved in ETV ;
  • know and apply the basic vocabulary related to ETV ;
  • know and indicate people and entities that could benefit from ETV ;
  • know ETV EU standards and other basic documents related to ETV ;
  • know and identify the ETV features.

Module 2. Environmental Technology Verification procedure
  • describe application of technology through a given examples;
  • define entrance parameters dedicated to certain technology area;
  • choose and specify data needed for successfull application: matrix, purpose, specific operational conditions for technology given as an example;
  • identify eligibility criteria;
  • characterize groups of criteria’s: environmental added value; innovation level; relevance to user needs;
  • fulfilment the legal regulations, determine affiliation to technology areas.
  • describe what documents are deliverable of each steps of verification;
  • indicate initial parameters and assess verifiable of technologies;
  • express in a specific and unambiguous way using absolute measurable figures so that only one interpretation is possible;
  • reflect the needs and requirements of the users for specific applications at specific operational conditions;
  • know conditions of publication statement of verification.

Module 3. The ETV programme as a commercial tool on domestic and international markets 
  • identify and indicate the ETV benefits in terms of commerce and sales ;
  • identify the different technology readiness levels  (TRL);
  • identify the minimum requirements in terms of Technology Readiness to obtain an ETV ;
  • identify the benefits of clients buying ETV products, process or service ;
  • create and integrate a marketing plan for an ETV product, process or service ;
  • create map and define actual needs in technologies area ;
  • identify and analyse some ETV success cases.
Introductory videos providing an innovative and interactive introduction about ETV and hence engaging more people as users of the ETV4INNOVATION training content will be also integrated. The open access E-learning platform that will host the course will also alsp offer a number of other interactive tools.

Assesment:
  • After completing each lecture, users will be subjected to a questionnaire/quiz in order to check their skills, whether students will receive a certain number of points for each answer. Once getting the required number of points the users will pass the training module with a positive grade. 
  • After completing the course, each learner will be required to complete a general quiz based on the topics presented during the implementation of the whole course. A positive test result will entitle the users to receive a confirmation certificate. 
INTERVIEW  with Anders Tange,  PurFil®
Purfil Aps - an ETV4INNOVATION project partner

Mr. Anders Tange is the CEO of the Danish innovative company PurFil® ApS, founded in 2012.

In the 3rd issue of the ETV4INNOVATION newsletter Mr. Tange is going to provide information about its company and also about the Purrot® technology, which obtained Environmental Technology Verification Statement of Verification in 2016.


Mr. Tange, would you introduce PurFil® ApS and the Purrot technology? 

PurFil® ApS (Ltd.) is an innovative company, established in 2012. We are developing and market new innovative separation modules (Environmental Technologies) for mostly husbandries and private and public WasteWater Treatment Plants (WWTP), which “Do Not use chemicals”. Related to this, I have more than 25 years of experience in innovative developments: “This to secure our climate and environment better conditions, so we both protect ourselves, and especially, (because of much to many years with worldwide pollution), our children and grandchildren”. Since many countries around “the World” have finally realized, that we must reduce the consumption of chemicals, reduce the dangerous emissions destroying the Ozon layer and energy consumption and do more for recycling nutrients from farmlands husbandry, so we also tomorrow will have drinkable groundwater, we needs to optimize the “Close Loop for recycling” – Someone calls it as well “Circular Economy”, since mostly money has until now “controlled” our behaviour towards the Environment.

The PURROT® -module, which we have developed and optimized since we started the company, has been through an EU-ETV Verification. It is a new purely mechanical separation module for liquid waste. It is an innovative base module, combining / integrating 5 “known” technologies into one. Most of the used / known technologies are “normally” using chemicals - like polymers (= micro-plastic) and coagulants (like Iron and Aluminium) - when they are working separately / independently, but combined as the PURROT® -module, we don’t need these.

Further, we have our PURUF® Ultra Filtration -module, placed after the PURROT® -as an add-on module for a further / finer separation. This module is going through the ETV -procedure as well here in 2019 for testing and approving especially the modules ability to reduce (and concentrate) the content of Phosphorus and organic Nitrogen in the filtrate from the PURROT® -module, treating manure from husbandry as well as industrial wastewater.

Why did you decide to go through ETV verification procedure with your product Purrot®? 

We did the ETV Verification of two reasons. Both to get the Verification Unit to test our newly developed separation module with the authorized laboratory, so we got professional / extra manpower support at the different test sites.

Furthermore, we expected “optimistic” that the expected positive test results could be included in our marketing, when we can tell the potential costumers, that the module's properties do not come from our own tests, but from a publicly authorized and independent test unit.


Which environmental and performance parameters did you verify during the verification process ? 

We were testing the separation of different sorts of “manure”, meaning sow and cow manure and as well digestate from a biogas plant with different sorts of manure and other sorts of biomass like straw and grass. This related to the module’ ability to reduce (and concentrate) Total Solid (TS), Volatile / Volatile Solid (VS), and the nutrients Nitrogen (both Ammonia-N and Total N), Total Phosphorus (TP) and Total Potassium (TK). Further the consumption of electric power each ton of treated material.

How long did it take you to receive an ETV Statement of Verification? Could you describe the main steps? 

 
  1. Applying for the public Grant: 3 months.
  2. Making the Verification contract with Verification Body (VB): 1 month.
  3. Preparing the test period. 5 months.
  4. Doing the verification in the field with the Verification Unit (VU): 8 months (was from the beginning expected to be 6 weeks).
  5. Delivering the Test Rapport from the VU: 4 months.
  6. Having the Statement of Verification from the VB: 5 months.

What were the main benefits for you company after achieving the ETV Statement of Verification? Did you obtain more benefits in terms of sales, number of clients contacting your company, etc.? 

Foreign companies started within one month contacting us. First, from Holland (manure separation) and China (public WWTP), but it was later realized, that it was just “Copy page” -companies / competitors, why you must take care very much after the Statement publication at the EU Commission’s website.

Only very few private customers know about the ETV Verification, so the EU website is mainly used by manufacturers, advisors a researchers.

Same time, if we as “Statement owners” bring a reference to the EU-ETV-Statement during our marketing, we must explain what it is, to (in our case) any of the farmers we visit.
Meanwhile, more and more Public WWTP’s is starting to know about the ETV and some of our potential customers has shown interest to the ETV Verification, since our sales arguments are, that what we tells them related to our products “behaviour”, is not just a “sales pitch”, but results tested and signed by the public institute (the VU and VB).


Would you recommend the ETV Statement of Verification to other innovative companies? 

Yes! Since we as one of the first companies in Europe did the ETV in 2014, the group of potential customers and advisors has gained increasing knowledge of the ETV.

And I expect as well, that when we can present the add on PURUF® -module as ETV Verified, then the customers will show more interested in “What’s the ETV?”
DISSEMINATION AND PROMOTION ACTIVITIES
The ETV4INNOVATION Consortium took part in various dissemination events during the last several months, namely:
  • 15th SEE EE&RES and Save the Planet Exhibition, Sofia (16th - 18th , April, 2019)

Green Synergy Cluster took part within the 15th South-East Europe Energy Efficiency and Renewable exhibition, Save the Planet exhibition and Smart Cities, held in Sofia between 16-18th April, 2019. The event was a good opportunity to disseminate information about the Environmental Technology Verification process and ETV4INNOVATION project, as there were over 110 exhibitors and over 3400 international visitors, including managers from the Ecology sector, recycling and waste management sector, the energy and renewables field, etc. 

The ETV4INNOVATION project was disseminated among companies dealing with:

  • production of flexible fabric made from 100% recycled PET bottles;
  • shredders and granulators that reduce energy consumption by up to 30%;
  • machines for processing and recycling of construction waste ; 
  • bio-waste treatment and energy recovery equipment;
  • technology for energy recovery of non-recyclable waste, etc.

From 14-16th May, the Institute of Technology and Life Sciences participated with an exhibition stand within the GREENPOWER international exhibiton, taking place in Poznan, Poland. The event served as a platform for many interesting conversations regarding the ETV4INNOVATION project and the Environmental Technology Verification process. During the event ITP actively disseminated information about the ETV4INNOVATION project.
  • CETEM at the 58th Furniture Fair of Yecla, Spain (7th -10th,  May, 2019)
CETEM attended the Furniture Fair of Yecla from 7th to 10 May; this Fair is the oldest and the most traditional one of Spain, where CETEM presented ETV4INNOVATION to the different attendants from furniture and related sectors

It has been designed with the aim to support the development and the implementation of an innovative practice and a new training path in the field of Environmental Technology Verification (ETV). 
ETV4INNOVATION ACTIVITIES AND CURRENT PROGRESS

The Erasmus Plus ETV4INNOVATION project is reaching its final stage soon. It will support the development and the implementation of an Innovative practice and a new training path in the field of Environmental Technology Verification (ETV). It will comprise a Joint Curriculum, didactic materials and a collaborative platform in line with the identified needs of the different target users. The training materials will also include videos and interactive infographics apart from presentations. The course will be open and free available in December 2019, and will constitute a highly benefit tool for the SMEs and any interested people on how to verify its innovative eco-technologies in the industry sector.

Taking into account the results obtained in the report “Current needs and skills required towards Environmental Technology Verification”, partners have established the preliminary Joint Curriculum where the structure of the course is defined in three training modules.

The Joint Curriculum must be validated through a series of surveys by stakeholders of different technological sectors to ensure that it meets the expectations and needs the project intends to cover.

The course will be structured in the following 3 modules:

  1. Module 1: Basic aspects of verification of environmental technology
  2. Module 2.The ETV programme as a commercial tool on domestic and international markets
  3. Module 3. Environmental Technology Verification procedure

Dr. Agnieszka Wawrzyniak from ITP, Poland explains about the main purpose of a Verification Body during an ETV procedure and the requirements


Dr. Agnieszka Wawrzyniakwould you explain what is the main purpose of a Verification Body during an ETV procedure?

By verifying the performance of a certain technology the Verification Body delivers a credible, third party assessment that its technical design ensures the fulfillment of a given performance claim in a specified application, taking any measurement uncertainty, relevant assumptions and limitations into consideration. The end products of the verification are: 1) Verification Report and 2) Statements of Verification.

The ETV Verification Statements are registered and published by the European Commission which makes them recognized in the EU and also globally, which is the main benefit of proposers. It helps distinguishing a technology among competitors, increases market prospects of a company and enhances investors’ trust.

What are the requirements a Verification Body should meet?

An ETV Verification Body should meet several requirements: it has to be accredited to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17020 for inspection bodies type "A", which should ensure high-quality data test, to be used for verification and guarantee the impartiality, credibility and reliability of the EU ETV Verification Statements. Of course when requested by the client, verifications can be performed for non-EU markets such as United States, Canada, and Asian markets.

The parameters of what type of technologies could be verified by an ETV body?
 
An ETV Body could offer environmental technology verification (ETV) of materials, waste and resources and renewable technologies. Verifications are performed under the the Programme of Environmental Technologies Verification of the European Union (EU ETV).

ETV4INNOVATION Multiplier Events with Stakeholders

The ETV4INNOVATION multiplier events will be organized in each partner country in purpose to present and disseminate the intellectual outcomes and developed project activities so as to promote awareness learning. Hence such events, between the timeframe between February – March, 2020 will be organized in: 

The aim is to disseminate the wide range of intellectual knowledge and conclusions to be produced within the project, including the Joint ETV4INNOVATION Curriculum and the E-learning platform.

During the event it will be important to gather feedback and opinion from relevant stakeholders from SMEs, Innovation and funding bodies, Higher Education Institutions; NGO’s dealing with education, environmental issues and sustainability.

OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES (OER) ETV4INNOVATION MATERIALS with a copyrithg Creative Commons Licences 
 
Open Educational Resources (OER) are often used by creators of educational material because of their open characteristics. The “open” in OER does not imply the absence of any form of licensing which, instead, is accompanying the majority of the OER available.

All ETV4INNOVATION material is OER and will go with a copyright Creative Commons Licenses (CCL), which is the best suitable option for OER created under the Erasmus+ funding programme. In fact, all the material produced under the Erasmus+ program has to follow the funding program rules that require all the produced material to be open, licensed and sharable with no commercial porpoises. CCL gives 6 main licensing options that go from Public Domain to full Copyright. OER is covered by CCL guaranteeing both the open and the rights aspects. In the specific case of ETV4INNOVATION, the consortium decided to utilize the “Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivatives” license. This specific license is assuring the rights to the ETV4INNOVATION consortium while allowing the shareability of the material for no commercial use.
 
Part of the ETV4INNOVATION training material that is going to be part of the e-learning course is dedicated to Open Educational Resources and Open license. The material goes through the two definitions of License and Licensor, the definition of Open Educational Resources, and the difference between OER and Open Access Publishing. It defines the difference between Public Domain and “all rights reserved”, highlighting the new way of “some rights reserved” and the creation of the Creative Commons Licenses, going through all the CCL options one by one. The material also shows the Criteria used by the ETV4INNOVATION Consortium for finding the most suitable CCL option, also according to the Erasmus+ Programme rules and Criteria explained in the material.

Opracowanie szkoleniowych zasobów internetowych, których celem jest wspieranie przedsiębiorców w procesie weryfikacji technologii środowiskowych


Europa stoi przed szeregiem wyzwań środowiskowych, które będą miały wpływ na jej przyszły dobrobyt. Obejmują one wyczerpywanie zasobów naturalnych, zwiększanie niedoboru wody, zanieczyszczenie powietrza, zmiany klimatu i utratę różnorodności biologicznej. Europa przoduje w zakresie innowacji w zakresie technologii środowiskowych, które mogą zapewnić konieczne rozwiązania, a jednocześnie zwiększyć konkurencyjność UE. Jednak wprowadzanie innowacji na rynek może stanowić poważny problem, ponieważ innowacje z samej tylko definicji nie mogą odnieść sukcesu. Bez wiarygodnych informacji o innowacyjnych technologiach potencjalni nabywcy nie są pewni, czy można ufać twierdzeniom dotyczącym ich wydajności. W 2011 r. Komisja Europejska z 7 państwami członkowskimi wprowadziła rozwiązanie tego problemu: weryfikacja technologii środowiskowej (ETV). Jest to inicjatywa zapewniająca zewnętrzną weryfikację oświadczeń o właściwościach produkcyjnych złożonych przez producentów technologii. Korzystając z oświadczenia weryfikacji, które jest wynikiem jej udanego procesu, ETV dostarcza wiarygodnych informacji na temat nowej technologii. Dostęp do rynku dla innowacyjnych technologii środowiskowych został dzięki temu znacznie zwiększony, a ryzyko technologiczne dla nabywców technologii zostało zmniejszone.

 

ETV4INNOVATION to trwający dwa i pół roku projekt partnerstwa strategicznego VET finansowany ze środków Komisji Europejskiej w ramach programu Erasmus +. Projekt został stworzony w celu wspierania rozwoju i wdrażania innowacyjnej praktyki oraz nowej ścieżki szkoleniowej w dziedzinie weryfikacji technologii środowiskowych (ETV). Istnieje bardzo duże zapotrzebowanie ze strony nabywców innowacyjnych technologii ekologicznych dla gwarancji ich wydajności. Oświadczenie z Weryfikacji Technologii Środowiskowej (ETV) stanowi jedyną międzynarodową gwarancję wydajności dla każdej eko-technologii. Tak jak nowa norma ISO 14034: 2016, ETV może zapewnić projektantom ekotechnologii realną przewagę konkurencyjną w zakresie marketingu swoich produktów. Ponieważ oświadczenie weryfikacyjne ETV oferuje gwarancje wykonania ekologicznych technologii, proces uzyskiwania oświadczeń weryfikacyjnych ETV przebiega według bardzo surowych wytycznych i procedur. Aby uzyskać takie oświadczenia szybko i przy najniższych kosztach, firmy muszą spełniać poziom wymagań procesu weryfikacji ETV na wszystkich etapach rozwoju produktu.

 


 

 


 

ETV4INNOVATION jest częścią globalnego przedsięwzięcia, którego celem jest zapewnienie firmom, które rozwijają technologie ekologiczne, skutecznego i udanego dostępu do weryfikacji technologii środowiskowych. Projekt ETV4INNOVATION ma na celu zaprojektowanie i rozwinięcie wspólnych programów szkoleń w celu wypełnienia luk w odniesieniu do ETV dla obecnych i przyszłych menedżerów i pracowników w sektorach technologicznych takich jak odpady materiałowe i zasoby oraz technologie energetyczne. Mówiąc dokładniej, ETV4INNOVATION rozwinie otwarte moduły e-Learningowe, mające na celu wspomaganie twórców ekotechnologii w dogłębnym zrozumieniu schematu ETV, dostarczając im wiedzy i zasobów dla ułatwienia procedury uzyskiwania świadectwa weryfikacyjnych ETV dla technologii, które sprzedają.

 

Partnerzy ETV4INNOVATION zdefiniowali następujące cele szczegółowe (CS):

 

  • Zidentyfikować braki wiedzy w organizacji małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw (MŚP), aby móc zarządzać i postawić na ETV, który uwzględnia ekologiczne wymagania w zakresie rozwoju nowych technologii ekologicznych.
  • Zaprojektować i opracować wspólny program nauczania dotyczący ETV z udziałem podmiotów zainteresowanych z branży  oraz ekspertów z zakresu zielonych technologii, takich jak jednostki weryfikacyjne, klastry i uniwersytety oraz inne osoby posiadające doświadczenie w ekoinnowacyjnej weryfikacji (ETV).
  • Zapewnić wspólny program nauczania na platformie e-learningowej
  • Zlikwidować granice pomiędzy małymi i średnimi przedsiębiorstwami oraz dużymi firmami a ekspertami w ETV, tworząc wspólne procedury i umiejętności.
  • Wyposażyć przedsiębiorstwa w odpowiednie umiejętności i wiedzę do celów weryfikacji ETV i wspierania zrównoważonego procesu technologicznego.
  • Promować lepsze przewidywanie potrzeb związanych z umiejętnościami ETV i rozwijać korzystniejsze dopasowanie umiejętności, potrzeb firmy i europejskich zielonych wymagań.
  • Uświadomić aktualne problemy środowiskowych, potrzebę zrównoważonego rozwoju i stosowanie bardziej szanujących praktyk w środowisku.

Program ETV jest międzynarodowym programem, który dostarcza certyfikat wydajności dla innowacyjnych technologii ekologicznych, których ważność jest uznawana i gwarantowana na całym świecie. System opiera się na niezależnej jednostce weryfikującej, która weryfikuje deklaracje wydajności eko-technologii, korzystając w razie potrzeby z certyfikowanych struktur testowych.

Schemat ETV jest przeznaczony dla wszystkich dostawców technologii ekologicznych, którzy znajdą w systemie ETV jedyne akceptowalne na całym świecie rozwiązanie, które udowodni wymagania dotyczące wydajności technologii, które wprowadzają na rynek.

System ETV jest przeznaczony dla wszystkich kupujących technologie ekologiczne (firmy, władze lokalne i władze publiczne), którzy znajdą w systemie ETV unikalne rozwiązanie umożliwiające identyfikację innowacyjnych technologii ekologicznych, zaspokajające ich potrzeby, przy jednoczesnym zmniejszeniu ryzyka inwestycyjnego za pomocą raportu z audytu wydajności, który zawiera wszystkie wiarygodne dane o wydajności zweryfikowane przez uznaną stronę trzecią.

 

MŚP posiadające technologię, która osiąga wyniki znacznie przekraczające normalne standardy lub które oferują innowacyjne podejście do rozwiązywania problemów związanych z ochroną środowiska, mogą napotkać trudności związane z penetracją rynku z powodu braku niezależnych i wiarygodnych dowodów na jego zalety. Także strony, takie jak nabywcy lub inwestorzy, którzy są zainteresowani stosowaniem rozwiązań technologii środowiskowych, często mają do czynienia z nieporównywalnymi, niekompletnymi lub nieudokumentowanymi informacjami dotyczącymi wydajności podczas oceny dostępnych opcji rynkowych. Weryfikacja technologii środowiskowej (ETV) zapewnia niezależną ocenę nowych technologii w celu potwierdzenia oświadczeń środowiskowych, tak aby użytkownicy, programiści i inne strony mogły podejmować świadome decyzje dotyczące zakupu i stosowania innowacyjnych technologii. Weryfikacja buduje wiarygodność dostawców i zaufanie kupujących, dając pewność, że oświadczenia dotyczące efektywności środowiskowej są ważne, wiarygodne i wspierane przez wysokiej jakości niezależne badania.

Oświadczenie weryfikacyjne ETV zapewnia, że sprzedawana technologia jest zgodna z Twoimi oczekiwaniami - na przykład, że spełnia określoną funkcję lub wymagania. Może to być niskie zużycie energii, czystsza technologia lub wysoka wydajność.

Weryfikacja jest uznawana w UE oraz w innych krajach, w tym w Korei, USA i Kanadzie. Wzajemne uznawanie ETV oznacza, że możesz sprzedawać swoje produkty i używać wyników badań z jednego kraju, gdy promujesz swój produkt na skalę międzynarodową.

 

 

Możesz uzyskać świadectwo ETV dla swojej technologii w następujących obszarach:

  • Uzdatnianie wody i monitorowanie (np. Monitorowanie jakości wody, uzdatnianie wody pitnej i ścieków);
  • Materiały, odpady i zasoby (np. Segregacja i sortowanie odpadów stałych, recykling materiałów, produkty wycofane z eksploatacji i chemikalia, produkty oparte na biomasie);
  • Technologie energetyczne (np. Energia odnawialna, energia z odpadów, technologie efektywności energetycznej).
  • Technologie recyklingu - baterii, akumulatorów i chemikaliów, przemysłowych produktów ubocznych i odpadów na materiały wtórne, odpadów budowlanych, Techniki rozdzielania lub sortowania odpadów stałych, odzyskiwanie surowców.

  • Oczyszczenie i monitorowanie powietrza

WYNIKI PROJEKTU




ETV4INNOVATION prepared a complete analysis of the current skills and needs of technological sectors in order to replace the knowledge gap with high level of competences, enabling enhancement of the competitiveness of the eco-technology sectors and the green innovative requirements.
This desk-based research was carried out to identify:

  • 1) the future and current needs related to eco-technology and ETV ;
  • 2) the main needs and requirements of European technology industry and other stakeholders to face these challenges.


The primary basis of the desk research was to consider the general skills and competences required by SMEs.
The ETV4INNOVATON team carried out the search in predominantly in Europe, though other areas were addressed, particularly covering the countries that have already implemented ETV. This desk research identified and analysed the ability, capacity, skills and competence needs sets of SMEs’ and their requirements regarding ETV. 


To this end, a planned survey was conducted with 90 participants from SMEs & related stakeholders; including regional administrations, universities, development agencies, research and innovation entities, VETs, etc.
The questionnaire was prepared in online format, available in English, to target international stakeholders.

Celem projektu ETV4INNOVATION jest opracowanie wspólnego programu nauczania. Zdefiniowano i przeanalizowano zebrany dorobek intelektualny aby opracować najbardziej odpowiedni program nauczania zgodnie z potrzebami grup docelowych określonymi w IO1. Wspólny program nauczania został zaprojektowany pod kątem niezbędnych obszarów wiedzy i metodologii pedagogicznych lepiej zoptymalizowanych w celu dopasowania do różnych profili zawodowych i branż docelowych projektu ETV4INNOVATION. Określono efekty uczenia się, których wymaga proponowana treść szkolenia, jak również jednostki szkoleniowe, które zaspokajają specyficzne potrzeby niektórych profili zawodowych. 

Liczba modułów szkoleniowych została zdefiniowana na podstawie głównych wniosków z raportu dotyczących braku umiejętności i wiedzy MŚP i innych zainteresowanych stron na temat ETV. Na podstawie  wniosków z IO1 określono różne efekty uczenia się i na podstawie wszystkich tych zasobów sformułowano materiały szkoleniowe. Moduły szkoleniowe są skonstruowane i zorganizowane w spójny sposób w odniesieniu do wybranych kryteriów (do konkretnych etapów procesu przetargowego, do tego samego obszaru umiejętności itd). 

Zdefiniowano trzy moduły szkoleniowe, a związane z nimi efekty uczenia się opisano poniżej:


Moduł 1. Podstawowe aspekty weryfikacji technologii środowiskowych

  • Zrozumienie czym jest ETV i jaki jest cel weryfikacji technologii środowiskowych;
  • Podmioty zaangażowane w ETV;
  • Stosowanie podstawowego słownictwa związanego z ETV;
  • Wskazywanie osób, podmiotów, które mogłyby skorzystać z ETV;
  • Normy UE i inne podstawowe dokumenty związane z ETV;
  • Identyfikowanie cech ETV

 

Moduł 2. Procedura weryfikacji technologii środowiskowych 

  • Zastosowanie technologii na podanych przykładach;
  • Zdefiniowanie parametrów wejścia dedykowanych obszarom technologii;
  • Wybór i określenie parametrów : matryca, cel, warunki techniczne dla technologii podane jako przykład;
  • Określanie kryteriów kwalifikowalnych dla technologii;
  • Charakterystyka grup kryteriów: wartość dodana dla środowiska; poziom innowacyjności; znaczenie dla potrzeb użytkownika; spełnienie przepisów prawnych,
    określenie przynależności do obszarów technologicznych.
  • Opis dokumentów, które można dostarczyć na każdym etapie weryfikacji;
  • Wskazanie parametrów początkowych i ocena weryfikowalności technologii;
  • Użycie mierzalnych danych, tak aby ich interpretacja była jednoznaczna;
  • Przedstawienie potrzeb i wymagań użytkowników dotyczących konkretnych zastosowań w określonych warunkach technicznych;
  • Znajomość regulacji dotyczących publikacji Świadectwa Weryfikacji.

 

Moduł 3. Program ETV jako narzędzie komercyjne na rynkach krajowych i międzynarodowych 

  • Zidentyfikowanie i wskazanie korzyści ETV w zakresie handlu i sprzedaży;
  • Określenie różnych poziomów gotowości technologii;
  • Określenie minimalnych wymagań w zakresie gotowości technologicznej do uzyskania świadectwa ETV;
  • Określenie korzyści dla klientów korzystających z produktów, procesów lub usług ETV;
  • Stworzenie i zintegrowanie planów marketingowych dla produktów, procesów lub usługi ETV;
  • Utworzenie mapy rzeczywistych potrzeb w obszarze technologii;
  • Identyfikowanie i analizowanie wybrane przykładów zastosowania ETV.
